Truth Has Value

It seems that Truth is under attack by lies, falsehoods, misinformation, and misrepresentation. What’s going on? What did Truth do to deserve such insults? How can Truth fight back, or should it fight back? Can Truth overcome these unfounded assaults? Yes, it can! Truth has value!

Truth has always endured assaults, insults, and slander because it demands to be heard, accepted, processed, and integrated into an open mind, a heart of flesh, and a discerning spirit. Truth realizes that it costs a lot, such as; courage, integrity, sacrifice, and belief in something bigger than itself. Truth recognizes that its opponents hate its presence because it refuses to provide a hiding place. Truth has value!

Truth is valuable because it has divine support. After all, Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man can come to the Father except by me. (St. John 14:6). Truth has the power to bring Life out of death, guidance out of confusion, unity out of division, sight out of blindness, and Liberty out of bondage. Truth is consistent. It does not change, and it is the same every day of the week. Truth has value!

Most of the time, Truth has to travel alone, but it’s not lonely; it often stands without the support of others, but it is loved and comforted by the Lord. It has very few friends. Now and then, it crosses paths with wisdom, trustworthiness, and faithfulness. They are all companions of those who reverence the Lord and keep His Word. Truth has value! Why? Because it comes from above.
